New project with marketing agency Justpalm (South Africa)

On September 15, Eastwind started a new project with South African marketing agency Justpalm. The company helps global FMCG brands to increase customer engagement and loyalty.

Cooperation with Justpalm began in 2019 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona: the marketing specialists recognized in EW Omnichannel Router an optimal technological solution for running their campaigns.

In the spring and summer of this year, Justpalm conducted the first campaign on the Eastwind platform. The client was a large food brand, and the promo was based on buyers sending promotional codes to compete for a reward. This method of incentivizing customers is the most popular one in Africa. USSD was chosen as the cheapest and most efficient channel for the region. Codes from participants in the form of USSD messages were sent to EW Omnichannel Router and then forwarded as an HTTP request to the promoter’s server. During the period from March to July 2020, the platform processed 312,595 messages from 32,265 participants.

Justpalm continue to discover the potential of EW Omnichannel Router and, with Eastwind’s support, are currently launching a new promotion with a more complex scenario for another well-known brand. The experience of running these promos will allow Justpalm to develop and launch any interactive campaigns on the Eastwind platform on their own in the future, using not only USSD, but also SMS, IVR and other channels.
