Social responsibility
at Eastwind

We are developing IT in the Urals:
We nurture specialists and support hi-tech projects

Eastwind Academy

Experts are the most valuable and scarce resource in the IT industry. We regularly invest money and the expertise of our experienced workers in the education of younger generations. Eastwind fosters specialists in-house and at large. We partner with universities, IT hackathons, and other educational events for programmers.

Sharing Knowledge
and Experience

The support program of high school education
Eastwind's collaboration with Ural universities began in 2004, when the company developed its Higher Education Support Program, outlining the main areas of work.
In 2008, our program was awarded by Microsoft’s Citizenship Partner of the Year award for partner IT solutions.
Our employees read university lectures and teach practical classes for future programmers. Eastwind provides trainee placements so undergraduates can get their first work experience in their specialization field. Genuine professional work experience and communication with mentors help students to better prepare for their actual careers.
The company has constant inflow of young and talented specialists - those who have passed the Eastwind Academy.
Growth Facilitation
Another area of Eastwind’s Higher Education Support Program is helping talented students and young professionals in their professional development, and creating a friendly environment to foster the Ural school of programming and assist the growth of intellectual potential of the Ural Federal District.
Eastwind is a co-organizer and partner of the All-Russian Student Olympiads, a computer science school, and programming championships for teams and individuals.

Event Partner

Ural Sports Programming Championship
The company took part in the preparation and holding of XVII Open Ural Championship in sports programming. Delegates of leading IT companies in the region, including Eastwind, gave instructions to the student teams at the opening ceremony. Observing the creative process of programming was no less exciting than participating in the competitions.
CSEDays at UrFU
Eastwind was a partner of the 6th Computer Science Days in Yekaterinburg. For three days, graduates and senior students of mathematical and programming departments were engaged in heated debates centered around algorithms and calculations. Apart from its partner function at the event, Eastwind employees also joined the ranks of the participants. The program included lectures from Russian and foreign specialists. All the training and communication sessions at the CSEDays school were conducted exclusively in English.
Breakpoint Forum
Eastwind took part in the 5th All-Russian Breakpoint Forum for students and graduates of technical universities, and young technological entrepreneurs.
We developed an application and chat-bot for the event, which helped the participants to keep up with the timetable, learn about the speakers and experts, and receive push notifications from the organizers. The users of the chat-bot got access to the career search function including start-ups and projects of the event participants.
