Eastwind attended Turkmentel 2024

29 november 2024
How to increase operators' revenues and make subscriber data a strategic business development asset? This was discussed at the leading telecom exhibition in Turkmenistan.

From November 14 to 16, 2024, the Turkmentel international conference was held in Ashgabat. 250 delegates from 27 countries participated in the event. Eastwind has confirmed its special status — we have been participating in the exhibition on a regular basis longer than any other company.

Roman Vasiliev, Commercial Director of Eastwind, traditionally spoke as an invited speaker at Turkmentel. He dedicated his report to the telecom industry's Customer Value Management (CVM), in which he:

  • Spoke about the effectiveness criteria of CVM solutions and their impact on business indicators.
  • Provided a step-by-step methodology for implementing a CVM platform.
  • Shared his vision of CVM development trends in telecom.
  • Showcased successful implementation cases of Eastwind's CVM solution.

“CVM plays a key role in increasing operators' revenues and helps turn the subscriber base into a strategic asset. When communication quality and tariffs of the current players are similar, customer engagement comes to the forefront. CVM focuses on the subscriber who receives personalized offers at the right time. The client feels care and attention, brand loyalty gets strengthened, and ultimately, the operator's revenues grow.”

Eastwind also participated in a panel discussion about data monetization prospects in the telecom industry. Roman Vasiliev shared the company's experience and explained how Eastwind's solutions for processing and analyzing big data help their customers develop their businesses.

Discussion participants also touched upon the ethical aspects of data usage. They discussed how to anonymize subscriber information properly and comply with international standards and local regulations in protecting personal data.

In addition to the presentation and participation in the discussion, the Eastwind team held meetings with their permanent partners—the Altyn Asyr mobile operator (TM Cell) and representatives of the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed cooperation and plans for 2025.

“Such events are an excellent opportunity to communicate with colleagues and partners in person, which is especially valuable in our industry. Personal meetings play a crucial role in developing cooperation and enable us to strengthen professional relationships.”
