Turkmenistan recently hosted its annual forum dedicated to telecommunications and IT, two core drivers of the country’s broader technological modernization. This year’s event took place at the Congress Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and ran from November 12 to 14, bringing together participants from 18 countries and underscoring its role as the region’s leading industry platform.

Eastwind took part as a Bronze Sponsor. Represented by CEO Boris Bubnov, the company held high-level meetings with senior officials from Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Communications and with executives from mobile operators Turkmentelecom and Altyn Asyr. Discussions centered around national digitalization priorities, the development of smart city services, strengthening telecom infrastructure cybersecurity, and identifying preliminary areas for collaboration in 2026.

Eastwind plays an active role in strengthening business relations between Russia and Turkmenistan. As Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Turkmen Business Council, CEO Boris Bubnov regularly takes part in key industry events in Turkmenistan. In September, he participated in the TIF 2025 Investment Forum.

Turkmentel has long served as a key meeting point for representatives of government agencies, as well as leading national and international companies. The forum provides a platform to discuss the development of digital infrastructure, the adoption of new technologies, and strategic plans for modernizing the telecom sector.
