The main objective of the project was the replacement of the operator’s old USSD platform and transition of the subscribers to the new system designed by Eastwind. The introduction of Eastwind USSD Navigator was prompted by MTS Ukraine wishing to breathe new life into the traditional USSD service thus maximizing the leverage from the technology.

Eastwind USSD Navigator will allow deployment of an interactive user’s portal with a wide range of capabilities. With its help, users can run all the operations needed for a full “mobile” life such as easy control of profile and account, setup and activation of various services. The further development roadmap includes ordering infotainment content, and other options.

The new platform will include the IVR functionality as well as the traditional USSD menu. This will give users the opportunity to choose the best method of access to a particular service. Simple navigation, familiar IVR and USSD technologies, fast-speed response to requests – all the benefits of a user-friendly and intuitive self-care channel will now be available to the customers of MTS Ukraine.

Thanks to the Eastwind product, subscribers of MTS Ukraine will have access to a service management tool which is way simpler and more convenient than the traditional USSD. Support of three languages and the profile customization option will ensure increasing popularity of the service package. Eastwind USSD Navigator allows creation of flexible subscriber request handling scenarios with the support of interactive USSD-tails as well as targeting and rotation rules, which significantly enhances the operator’s resources in marketing of its services.
