Eastwind Takes Part in International Telecom Exhibition and Conference Turkmentel 2015

On September 16-17, 2015, Ashgabat hosted IX International Exhibition and Conference for telecommunications, telemetry, IT and radio broadcasting Turkmentel 2015. This high-profile event is the industry highlight of the year for the organizer and the entire Central Asian telecom community.
Participation in Turkmentel is momentous for Eastwind as the company has been active player of the country’s infocommunications market for the last 7 years, working in close partnership with the Turkmenistan’s leading telcos. The makeup of the delegation bears record to the company’s special status. Eastwind’s chief executives including director Boris Bubnov, commercial director Roman Vasilyev and technical director Georgy Khvatov arrived at the conference. The session “Overview of situation and further development opportunities in mobile, fixed and internet communications in Turkmenistan” featured Mr. Vasilyev’s report “Big Data – Big Opportunities. Innovation for Unique Experience.”
The prolific business program ended in the traditional series of meetings and talks between Eastwind’s executives and Minister for Telecommunications of Turkmenistan Mr. Bayramgeldy Ovezov, officers and experts of the national telecom authorities. The participants noted that Turkmentel 2015 had become the perfect networking space for professionals to discuss new partnership projects and plans designed to ensure further development of the national infocom industry and provision of effective and high-quality user services. Amongst other things, the national importance of the task is dictated by Ashgabat becoming the sports capital of Asia in 2017 – the country is to welcome competitors and guests of the grandiose V Asian Games.
